The King Who Loved Jazz
The Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin is inviting JazzRadio listeners and their friends to a free concert on 6. December to celebrate the life in Jazz of their late King, who died 2016 at the age of 88.
Two of Thailand’s top musicians, pianist Dareen Pantoomkomol and saxophonist Taweesak Booranapanitpan, have flown from Bangkok to perform at the concert at The Ellington Hotel.
King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand was a noted jazz composer and himself played several musical instruments including the piano and saxophone. Several of his compositions will be played at the concert.
