Heidi’s Nashville Roots Show Through

29. Januar 2019 · Julian Allitt

Maybe it’s her roots in Nashville, the capital of Country Music, but Heidi Burson knows how to sing a good song.
It was all there; discovery, love, betrayal and loss, delivered with an attractive self-deprecating humour – and a voice to die for.

The latest in an impressive line of American artists to grace JazzRadio’s the Orange Room stage at The Ellington Hotel, she brought the sellout audience to their feet and had them dancing in the aisles.

Her tributes to other great artists included Stevie Wonder’s Signed Sealed Delivered, Prince’s Purple Rain and – best of all – Aretha Franklin’s Natural Woman. Heidi Burson’s interpretation of this great Soul classic was moving and powerful.

Singing her way through a possibly tangled love life, Heidi Burson displayed her talents as a songwriter with original numbers including Finding Myself, Baby Let’s Try, You’re The One To make Me Believe and – gentlemen be warned – Night I Made Him Leave.

Nobody was leaving during this impressive two hours in The Orange Room from the very talented Miss Heidi Burson from Nashville, USA.

Still glowing four days later 💫😊 . . I hope I never lose that nervous excited feeling I get before a performance when I walk into a room filled with people. Thank you again to @jazzradioberlin for this unforgettable moment 💜
